一般社団法人・映画産業団体連合会（映団連）が1956年（昭和31年）に制定。 1896年（明治29年）11月25日～12月1日、神戸の神戸倶楽部において日本初の映画の一般公開が実施された。この会期中できりの良い日の12月1日を記念日とした。 という事でホラー映画を見ていただきましたｗ
