In line with the theme of \"check,\" I decided to make the clothes of the female characters in my book a check pattern, even though I usually have a hard time choosing \"plain colors.\"
This is my well-known book, a marine adventure fantasy novel.

For some reason, a tartan check seemed to suit me better, so I tried that.I wanted it to be a little more yellow, but it ended up looking more like Burberry!
The Government House, Miss Isabelina\'s home, is located in a colonial city modeled after Saint Domingue, the capital of Dominica, so the background is also a colonial-style port town.
